EDIT MIME TYPE

This screen allows you to change information associated with the Mime Type selected on the Maintain Mime Types screen.

INFORMATION ON THIS SCREEN:

Mime Type	Displays the name of the Mime Type selected on the Maintain Mime Types screen. This name has 2 parts -- separated by a "/" -- where the first part is the actual Mime "Type" and the second is the Mime "Subtype" (i.e. "image/gif" and "image/jpeg" are both of theMime "image" Type).
Extensions	A list of one or more file extensions assigned to the displayed Mime Type. Multiple extensions must be separated by one or more spaces. You may modify this field by typing in new or modifiying existing information. Extensions listed here are used by the browser to associate files of this mime type/subtype with a locally installed application (for example, doc indicates a Microsoft Word document). Extensions will display in (parenthesis) immediately following the Mime Type in the Mime Types list.
Options	The Options identifier(s) selected here willl display in [braces] immediately following the Mime Type extension in the Mime Types list. You may select/de-select options for the Mime Type. The identifier will display either as text (Edit, Templates, Href, Dynamic) or a single letter (E, T, H, D,L) depending on the length of the description and extension. For example, text/html (htm html) [Edit,Templates,Href,Dynamic,Links] or application/x-httpd-php3 (php3) [E,T,H,D,L].    Edit Online Supported [displayed as Edit or E]- Content with this Mime Type will be a candidate for on-line editing. Templates Supported [displayed as Templates or T] - Content with this Mime Type can use Header, Footer and Page Layout templates. Include BASE HREF Tag [displayed as HREF or H] - Content with this Mime Type will have a BASE HREF tag placed at the beginning of the content during View and Preview. Dynamic Content [Dynamic or D] - Content with this Mime Type will be temporarily copied into the Dynamic Content Preview Directory during View and Preview (see System Configuration). Process Links [Links or L] - WSD will perform Links processing for this Mime Type and provide properties identifying links TO/FROM content of this Mime Type as part of the properties associated with this type of content.

FUNCTIONS:

UPDATE MIME TYPE	Select this function to save the changes made on this screen and return to the Maintain Mime Types screen.
CANCEL	Select this function to cancel all data entered on this screen and return to the Maintain Mime Types screen.
