SAMPLE ENTRANCE PAGES A WebSite Director (WSD) entrance page is a standard HTML page that has form buttons to take an authorized user directly into any of several WSD functions. It can be used to: link to web pages that document the procedures for maintaining your web site, link directly to the WSD Submit New Request screen, link directly to the WSD Live Submit function, link directly to the WSD Application Desktop, and provide a WSD Username Request form.   The entrance page can be located anywhere on your web site (we recommend placing it in your Document Root or Working Directory), or even on another web site, as long as it includes the URLs to get to WSD.  Allowing Requests for a Username and Password If your site policies allow this functionality, users not already validated for access to WSD may request a new username using the "/wsd-public/wsdrequest.exe" module that processes such requests. This module is installed into the "/wsd-public" directory (the default name unless you changed it during installation). That directory is not under the WSD install-directory and does not require validated access.  The "URL-prefix" (some web servers call this a "Script Alias" or "URL-Path") you created to access WSD will not provide access to the "/wsd-public" directory. Warning: If you did not create a URL-prefix to access the username request module, you must do so. Instructions for creating a URL prefix are web server-specific, and documented in your WSD Installation Guide. Sample User Entrance Page The following Sample Page for user access is installed in the "/wsd-support/help" directory and included in this document for your convenience. It is installed at: "/wsd-support/help/wsduser-entrance.html (or in the help subdirectory of the "/wsd-support" directory)." Please move a copy of this page into a publicly-accessible directory (we recommend using the document root), modify it for your web site configuration and policies, then rename it to a more meaningful name.  All references on the sample page are in the form: "/wsd-support/entrance-...gif" for bitmap images. The assumed URL-prefix to access WSD is "wsd", and "wsdreq" for access to the WSD username request module. This results in URL references in the form: "http://mycompany.com/wsd/wsd...exe" for accessing the standard WSD processes.
