PROPERTIES

This screen displays information about the template displayed in the Request field. The information on this screen may be revised by authorized users.

INFORMATION ON THIS SCREEN:
Request

EMAIL: <subject of e-mail message>EMAIL must be changed to one of the other Request Types (ADD, MODIFY, DELETE, COPY, or RENAME) before the request can be published or approved to a workflow stage that requires a valid Request Type. 

  • If the e-mail message requests a MODIFY of an existing template and the e-mail message does not contain the template, a Submit New Request should be initiated for the existing template, based on the instructions in the e-mail request. If the e-mail message contains the new template, it will replace the existing template when the request is published.
  • If the e-mail message requests a RENAME or COPY of an existing template, a Submit New Request should be initiated for the existing template, based on the instructions in the e-mail request.
Request Type A drop-down box where you may select one of the following request types: ADD, MODIFY, DELETE, COPY, RENAME. 
Filename The path and filename for the template.
  • The path is not required until the template is published to the web site. 
  • A filename with an extension (for example: footer, header) is required so that the browser can render the page correctly in Preview or View Request. 
New Filename This filename must be supplied for COPY or RENAME Request Types.
Subject The subject line of the e-mail used to submit this request.
Description A description of the template; up to 255 characters.
Locked By Displays the First and Last Name and Username of the user who locked the request. If you have "Unlock All Requests" System Permission, you may unlock the document or change the name of the user to whom the lock is currently assigned. See User Permissions

Care should be taken before unlocking a 'locked' documents to make sure it is not currently being worked on by the locking user. To unlock a locked document, or change the name of the "Locked By" user, select "No Lock" or the name of a user from the drop-down box.

Author The Last Name, First Name and User ID of the Author. The default for this field is set on the System Policy screen. If you are an authorized user, you may change this field.
Maintainer The Last Name, First Name and User Name of the WSD-authorized user allowed to disapprove requests in workflow stages to which the user does not normally have access.
Submitted by The WSD-authorized user who submitted the request into the workflow process. 
  • If you have "Modify Submitter" System Permission, you may change the name of the submitter. See User Permissions
  • For e-mail requests from authorized WSD users, this name is derived from the submitter's e-mail address.
    For e-mail requests from non-WSD authorized users, the e-mail address in this field must be replaced with the identity of a valid WSD user in the drop-down list before the template is approved to a workflow stage requiring "Submitter" as a "Required Request Field."
Next Rev. # The next revision number of a template that will be assigned when that template is published. This number begins with 1.0, and is automatically incremented by 0.1 or the default "Version Increment" assigned on the System Configuration screen. The value in this field will be permanently assigned/recorded when the template is published to the web site. While a request is being processed, the revision number can be changed manually, but only to a *larger* number. This number may not be less than 1.0, and must be larger than the most recently published version.
Publish Date The date/time to publish the template. The Default Publish Date is set on the System Policies screen. The valid values are:
  • Immediately - The template is published as soon as it is approved to the Publishing stage. 
  • Tonight - The template is published the next time following final approval that the overnight publishing module is executed. This is the default value unless the default has been changed on the System Policies screen. Note: When "Tonight" is selected, the date fields to the right of this option are ignored. 
  • Future Date - You may select a date, or a date and time, in the future for publishing the template. The "Time" option depends on the Publish Date Selection on the System Policies screen. Note: When "Future Date" is selected, the template will be published the first time following final approval that the publishing module is executed following the date, or date and time, displayed to the right of this option. Use the drop-down date lists to select the correct publication date and (optional) time. 
File Size The file size of the template in bytes; calculated by the system each time it is displayed

FUNCTIONS:
VERSION HISTORY Select this function to display the Version History screen for the template.
APPROVAL HISTORY Select this function to display the Approval History screen for the request.
APPROVALS NEEDED Select this function to display the Approvals Needed screen. If you have "Modify Approvals Needed" system permission (see User Permissions) and have accessed this screen from the Edit Request or Submit New Request screen, you may change the Approval Class and Approvals Needed selections for this Request.
UPDATE PROPERTIES Select this function to save the changes made on this screen, and return to the request processing screen.
RETURN Select this function to return to the request processing screen without updating any of the changes made on this screen.
