Relogon

The TeamWSD Relogon function allows you to log back into TeamWSD with a different User Name and Password, or with the same User Name and Password, without restarting TeamWSD. To log on to TeamWSD, complete the following steps:
  1. On the TeamWSD Main screen, click [RELOGON] from the list on the left side of the Application Desktop screen.
    • TeamWSD tells your browser to display a window for entry of a User Name and Password.
        Note: Because of the way browsers manage the authentication process, you will receive an "Authorization Failed" message, click [Retry] to display the username/password entry window.
  2. Type the TeamWSD User Name in the User Name: box, and your Password in the Password: box.
  3. Click [Ok].

    Note: If you [Cancel] you will receive an error message indicating that your logon failed. Use your browser's back button to return to TeamWSD. You will no longer be logged on with the original User Name and Password. You will have to enter a valid username and password to continue using TeamWSD.

How Cookies are used for the Relogon process
When a user attempts to log on to a currently running version of TeamWSD using the Relogon function, the system uses cookies to create a temporary placeholder betweeen the time the user requests the relogon and the successful validation of the user's username/password combination. The Relogon process works as follows:

  1. User-1 is currently logged on to TeamWSD
  2. User-2 clicks Relogon
  3. TeamWSD sends the following cookie to User-2:
      RelogonInProgress=Yes (persists until Forever)
  4. The Browser displays "Authentication Failed. Retry?"
  5. User-2 clicks [OK]
      The Browser displays the Username/Password dialog box
  6. User-2 types in the appropriate values and clicks [OK]
  7. TeamWSD lite sends the following cookie to User-2:
      RelogonInProgress=<space (persists until Expired)
        Note: the Expired date is currently set to Dec. 1969
  8. The browser displays the TeamWSD Main Screen showing that User-2 is now logged on.
