View Document
The WebSite Director (WSD) View
Document function allows you to view existing documents. To view a document from
a screen that provides access to this function, complete these steps:
- Highlight the filename
of the document in the list box, and
- Click [VIEW DOCUMENT].
Tips to help you view a document:
- When Javascript is enabled
in your browser, WSD displays the document in a new browser window. If
Javascript is not enabled, the document displays in your current browser
window. Use your browser's [Back] button to return to the previous screen.
- If your document is not an
HTML-formatted page, the document display may be unreadable, or may require
the installation of one or more "browser-helpers" (your browser may call these
"plug-ins" or "Active-X controls") to properly render the document's contents.
Most browsers will notify you should this become necessary. Some examples of
types of documents that might require "browser helpers" include:
- MIDI files requiring a
media player
- Certain graphics files
(for example, Encapsulated Postscript files) not supported by your browser
- Certain video files
requiring a video player "add-on" to properly render the video file for
viewing
- If the document you wish
to view does not use a file extension that WSD recognizes, the document
displays as a plain text document.
