MAINTAIN WEB SITE

This screen's primary function is to allow you to maintain directories under your server's "Document Root" or the "Working Directory" for which this copy of WSD is installed. 

The three selection bars - Menu Bar, Tool Bar, Address Bar, and Function Bar - provide access to WSD functions. You may hide  or display  any or all of these bars. 

• Menu Bar -
  The four drop-down lists on this bar (File, View, Tools and Help) allow you to select functions via the text drop-down list selections. These lists include the same functions as those provided by icons on the Tool Bar and Function Bar.
• Tool Bar -
  This bar provides icon selections for access to your User Preferences, Submit New Request (to the default submission stage), Help screens and Tutorials. You can:
  • Go to your User Preferences screen by clicking  located on the Tool Bar
  • Submit a New Request by clicking on the Tool Bar
• Address Bar -
  This bar allows you to Change the current directory by typing the directory name in the Address data entry area, and clicking .  You may also change to a different directory by highlighting the directory name in the Folder Navigation (left) column (see below).
• Function Bar -
  This bar provides icon selections for access to screens that allow you to perform functions associated with the Document Root web site structure and  two functions relating to content stored on your web site:  
  • View content listed in the File Selection (right) column by highlighting the filename and clicking  located above the File Selection (right) column.
  • View the Properties content listed in the File Selection (right) column by highlighting the filename and clicking  located above the File Selection (right) column.

The following Maintain Web Site icons are located on the left side of the Function Bar, or may be accessed by clicking the "File" button located on the Menu Bar:

View Directory Properties	Select this function to display the Directory Properties screen for the Directory displayed in the Address data entry area. Properties that can be displayed and changed include assigning a Default Approval Class to the directory, making the directory a Private Directory, and selecting an Index Template for the directory.
Create Directory	Select this function to display the Create Directory screen.
Copy Directory	Select this function to display the Copy Directory screen.
Move Directory	Select this function to display the Move Directory screen.
Rename Directory	Select this function to display the Rename Directory screen.
Delete Directory	Select this function to display the Confirm Delete Directory screen.
Rebuild Index	Select this function to rebuild the Index for the Directory displayed in the Address data entry area.  After you click this icon, WSD rebuilds the directory's index using the Index Template selected on the Directory Properties screen, and displays a "Directory Index Created" confirmation screen. Note: This function is available only if "Yes" has been selected for the Maintain Directory Index Files on the System Policies   screen. WSD displays an error message if a Directory Index Filename has NOT been selected on the System Configuration   screen, or  "Maintain Index"  and a Directory Index Template for this directory was NOT selected on the Create Directory or Directory Properties screen.
