APPLY TEMPLATE

The WebSite Director (WSD) Apply Template function is used to apply a template to documents and directories that use the selected template, as follows:

When you use the Apply Template function, an information screen lists the documents or directories that were updated, and lists any documents or directories that could not be updated along with the reason they were not updated, if known.

If you do not immediately Apply a revised Template, it will be applied to any document using the template under the following conditions: For more information, see the Header and Footer Templates , Page Layout Templates and Directory Index Templates tutorials.

To apply a Template:

  1. On the Maintain Templates screen, select the Template Group (Page Header Templates, Page Footer Templates, Page Layout Templates or Index Templates) for the template to be applied, and click Continue
  2. In the Templates list box, select the template to be applied and click APPLY TEMPLATE.
