 COPY DOCUMENT (Functions)

FUNCTIONS:
UPLOAD

Select this function to upload content from your local computer.

1. To begin the upload process, click UPLOAD. The Upload File window displays
2. Type the path and name of the file on your local computer into the Local Filename data entry field located to the left of the Browse button.  Instead of typing the file name, you may click the Browse button to select the file.
2. Click UPLOAD to upload the file. After the file has uploaded, the "Document Upload Complete" screen confirms the upload.
3. Click Ok on the confirmation screen to return to this screen.

VIEW REQUEST Select this function to display the request's content in a browser window. The display will include any assigned header and footer templates.
PROPERTIES Select this function to display the Properties screen for the request.
EDIT ONLINE Make online changes to the content as it will be submitted using the information typed into the New File Path and Name data entry box.
1 Select the method for creating your document: WYSIWYG or TEXT WYSIWYG - Edit your document online using the WYSIWYG editor selected on the  User Preferences screen. Note: This selection only displays if your site owner has licensed the WYSIWYG editors and the WYSIWYG server drivers have been downloaded and installed from the WSD download area.  If the message "No WYSIWYG editor is installed" displays,contact your System Administrator.

TEXT - Edit your HTML document using the browser editor . Note that due to browser constraints, documents may not exceed 32k bytes.

Click EDIT ONLINE. WSD displays the applicable window so you can edit your document. When you finish, click UPDATE AND RETURN to save the information and return to this screen. 
DOWNLOAD Your browser's download function prompts you for the location on your local computer where the document is to be downloaded. If any changes have been made to the document (via Upload or Edit Online), these will be included in the downloaded document.
Finish Request:
SUBMIT or PUBLISH
 
SUBMIT (WSD Pro)
  When you have finished and are ready to submit this request into the Workflow process, select this function. WSD submits the new request into the Workflow process and displays the Request Processed screen with the following information:
  • the approval stage into which the new request was placed (depending on your permissions, you may not be able to access this stage -- see the Request Submission tutorial),   
  • COPY <from path and filename> TO <path and filename>,
  • a button titled: RETURN TO SUBMIT NEW REQUEST, which will return you to the Submit New Request screen,
  • if you use Single Window mode (set in  User Preferences) and you have permission to access, edit, or approve requests in the stage, a button labeled GO TO <Workflow Stage Name> (the workflow stage into which the new request was placed) .

PUBLISH (WSD Advanced)
When you have finished and are ready to publish this request, select this function. WSD publishes the new request and displays the Request Processed screen with the following information:

  • COPY <from path and filename> TO <path and filename>,
  • a link to view the published page in a new browser window.
  • a button titled: RETURN TO SUBMIT NEW REQUEST, which will return you to the Submit New Request screen .
Finish Request:
SAVE
If you wish to continue working on this request before you submit it into the Workflow process, select this function. WSD saves the new request and places it into your Submission workflow stage. This is a private workflow stage where you can submit and work on requests before submitting them into the workflow process. Note: Requests in your Submission stage can only be viewed by you or the System Administrator.
Finish Request:
CANCEL
If you wish to cancel the request, select this function. WSD displays the Confirm Cancel Request  screen where you will be prompted to confirm cancellation of the request.
