ADD NEW USER
 
This screen allows you to add a new WebSite Director Express (WSD) user and information about that new user
 
User Name This User Name will be used, and required for access, when the user logs on to WebSite Director Express (WSD). This must be a unique user name.
First Name & Last Name  The First Name (optional), which can include the middle initial, and Last Name, which can include a suffix, such as Jr., Sr., or III at the end of the name.
E-mail Address The e-mail address for the user.
Working Directory When present, must contain a valid directory name within the web server's Document Root. This user will only be able to access the specified directory and those directories defined under the specified directory. Note: The user will not be able to see, browse, or access any other directories within the Document Root.
Password & Confirm Password The password the user enters when logging on to WSD.
Permissions Assign permissions to the user by checking the checkbox(s):
  • User Administration - allows the user to add, delete and change another user's information.
  • Write Access - allows the user to add and edit documents on the WSD site. Without this permission, a user can only view and download documents. Note: When this permission is set, this user may also add, delete, move, copy, and rename directories.
  • Access Control - allows the user to access the Access Control options on the Directory Properties screen.
  • Template Administration  - allows the user to access the Maintain Templates screens.
  • System Administration - allows the user to access the System Configuration screen.
Functions
ADD Adds the new user and returns you to the User Administration screen.
CANCEL Discards all information entered on the screen and returns you to the User Administration screen.
