DIRECTORY PROPERTIES 
 
Directory The directory selected on the previous screen.
Description A description associated with content of the directory; up to 255 characters. 
Edit Online Image Directory The default directory(s) for the images to be used by the EditLive! WYSIWYG Online Editor when you attempt to insert an image while editing content located in this directory. Multiple directory names must be separated by a comma.  If this field is left blank, the Default Edit Online Image Directory on the System Configuration  screen will be used.
Image Upload Directory This is the directory (there may be only one) that will be used by the online WYSIWYG editor when you insert an image from your local directory. If this field is left blank, the Image Upload Directory on the System Configuration  screen will be used. If no Image Upload Directory is defined, an error message displays when a user attempts to upload an image.
Flags
  • Private Directory - Directories marked as "Private" (including all documents within these directories) can only be viewed from the Maintain Directories screen. Private Directories are not visible in any other part of the WSD system. 
  • Subdirectories inherit properties - This selection will cause subdirectories of this directory to inherit the properties of this directory. 
  • Do not inherit parent properties - When selected, this directory will not inherit the properties of the parent directory. 
  • Page Layout Template required - When selected, content added to this directory must use a Page Layout Template.  
  • Automatically version new files - When selected, all new files added to the directory will be versioned (i.e. a version history will be maintained).
  • Access Control

    Displays one of the following, depending on the settings on the User Directory Permissions screen:

    • None
    • Visitor Access Restrictions
    • Access Restrictions
    • Update Restrictions
    Created The date the directory was created.
    Created By The full name and username who created the directory.
    Last Accessed The day of week, month and day-date, time, and year the directory was last accessed.
    Last Modified The day of week, month and day-date, time, and year the directory was last modified. Note: These are the times at the server's location and may be different from the local time at your location.

    Current UID:
    The UNIX UID of the current user.
    Current GID:
    The UNIX GID for the current user.
     Owner UID:
    The owner of the filesystem.
     Owner GID:
    The group for the filesystem.
     Permissions:
    If the web server is running WSD as a different user than your UNIX login user ID, and you want to be able to update files in the Working Directory outside of WSD, click the appropriate Read and Write checkboxes to assign permissions as follows:
    • Owner - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to the "File Owner UID" displayed above. 
    • Group - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to the "File Owner GID" displayed above. 
    • Other - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to all other users who are not the UID or GID owner.
    If you have the proper permissions, you may change the File Permissions by checking the Read, Write, and Execute boxes beneath the Owner, Group, and Other columns. If you do not have permission to change the permissions on a file, the permissions are displayed as textual X's instead of checkboxes, and cannot be modified.
    FUNCTIONS
    UPDATE Saves any changes made on this screen, and displays the previous screen.
    USER PERMISSIONS Displays the User Directory Permissions screen.
    EDITOR PERMISSIONS Displays the Editor Permissions screen.
    TEMPLATES Displays the Directory Templates screen.
