Document

The path and filename of the document
Title The title of the document. 
Description A description of the document; up to 255 characters. 
Keywords A set of search keywords used in a search index that point to the document. This field is not used by WSD. This field may be referenced by the <$prop:keywords> template variable to create meta-tags.  See Template Language for more information.
Page Layout Template The page layout template used to create this document. This information may not be changed on this screen.
Locked By The name of the user who is presently working on the document, or the name of the user who locked the document. If you have User Administration permissions, you may unlock the document, or change the user name. 
  • To unlock the document or change the user name, highlight the word "No Lock" or the name of one of the listed users in the drop-down list. Then click [UPDATE] to save the information. See Locked Documents for more information.
Author The Last Name, First Name and User ID of the Author. If you have permission you may select another author from the drop-down list of users.

Version File

If Version History has not been enabled for this document, and you wish to track version information for this document, select the "Enable Version History" checkbox and click UPDATE. Versioning will be enabled for the document and an initial version (1.0) will be created. When you return to this screen, the following information displays:

  • Version File name
  • Revision Number
  • Next Rev # data entry field
  • VERSION HISTORY function button.

If versioning has already been enabled for this document, the file name will display in this field. The file name may not be changed.

Revision The current version of the document. If you have just enabled versioning, the Revision number will be 1.0. This field is referenced by the <$prop:revision> template variable. See Template Language for more information
Next Rev # The next revision number for this document that will be assigned when that document modified. This number begins with 1.0, and is automatically incremented by 0.1. You can change this revision number, but only to a *larger* number. This number may not be less than 1.0, and must be larger than the most recently published version.
Created The date the document was created.
Created By The full name and username who created the document using the Add/Upload Document screen.
Last Accessed The day of week, month and day-date, time, and year the file was last accessed.
Last Modified The day of week, month and day-date, time, and year the file was last modified. Note: These are the times at the server's location and may be different from the local time at your location.
Modified By The name of the user who last modified the document.
File Size The file size of the document in bytes; calculated by the system each time it is displayed.

Current UID:
The UNIX UID of the current user.
Current GID:
The UNIX GID for the current user.
File Owner UID:
The owner of the filesystem.
File Owner GID:
The group for the filesystem.
File Permissions:
If the web server is running WSD as a different user than your Unix login user ID, and you want to be able to update files in the Working Directory outside of WSD, click the appropriate Read and Write checkboxes to assign permissions as follows:
  • Owner - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to the "File Owner UID" displayed above.
  • Group - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to the "File Owner GID" displayed above.
  • Other - assign Read and/or Write file permissions to all other users who are not the UID or GID owner.
If you have the proper permissions, you may change the File Permissions for this document by checking the Read, Write, and Execute boxes beneath the Owner, Group, and Other columns. If you do not have permission to change the permissions on a file, the permissions are displayed as textual "X"''s instead of checkboxes, and cannot be modified.
FUNCTIONS  
UPDATE  Saves changes made on this screen, and returns to the previous screen.
VERSION HISTORY  Displays the Version History screen for the document if versioning has been enabled for the document.
