APPLICATION DESKTOP WebSite Director Home Page

If you are using the Explorer masthead, some of the functions on this screen are accessed by clicking the icons located across the top of this page. See definitions below. The following information fields are provided on this screen:
User Your First and Last Name (e.g. John Doe) and your User Name (e.g. doeboy)
Working Directory The root directory for the web server documents that WebSite Director (WSD) maintains.
Current Directory The currently selected directory; may have been selected from the Current Documents list by highlighting the directory name and clicking CHANGE DIRECTORY.
Current Documents The list of directories and documents/files under the Current Directory.
  • If the current directory is the Working Directory, (WORKING DIRECTORY) displays as the top line in the list.
  • If another directory has been selected as the Current Directory, .. displays as the top line in the list.
CHANGE DIRECTORY (function) Highlight a directory name in the Current Documents list and click this button to display the directory name as the Current Directory. The directories and documents under the selected directory will display in the Current Documents list.

Function Buttons/Icons
Only the functions for which you have permission will be available.

USER PREFERENCES Displays the User Preferences screen.
LIVE UPDATE (Not available in WSD Lite) Displays the Live Update popup-window.
VIEW DOCUMENT Select a document/file in the Current Documents list and click this button to view the document.
PROPERTIES Select a document in the Current Documents list and click this button to view the properties for the document.
MAINTAIN DOCUMENTS Provides access to the document maintenance screens.
MAINTAIN DIRECTORIES Provides access to the directory maintenance screens.
MAINTAIN TEMPLATES (Not available in WSD Lite) Provides access to the template maintenance screens.
SYSTEM CONFIG Displays the System Configuration screen.
USER ADMINISTRATION Provides access to the user administration screens.
RELOGON Allows you to logon with the same or a different User Name and Password.
