LIVE UPDATE POPUP WINDOW  

The Popup Window mode for using Live Update is chosen on your User Preferences screen (Top Frame is the default mode). When used, Live Update allows you to easily make changes to your site's web pages, depending on your permissions.

To display the Live Update Popup Window, click the Live Update icon Edit documents while navigating web site located on the Application Desktop Tool Bar.

When you click the Live Update button or icon, two windows display:
  • A small pop-up window lists the available Live Update functions.
  • Another window displays the following:
    • If you select Live Update without first selecting a document or a sub-directory, the index.html page for the first sub-directory under your site's Working Directory displays.If  there is no index.html page for the directory, an index of the files in the directory.
    • If you select a document before you click the Live Update icon, the selected document displays.

      • Note: if the page displayed is a directory list generated by the server, you must first click on one of the files in the list, causing it to display, before you can use one of the pop-up window buttons.

Use the Live Update pop-up window buttons to perform the following functions for the page displayed in the second window:

PROPERTIES 

Click this button to display the Properties screen for the displayed file.
ADD NEW DOCUMENT

Click this button to display the Add Document screen so you can add a new file to the directory.
UPLOAD NEW DOCUMENT

Click this button to display the Upload New Document  screen so you can upload a new file to the directory.
DOWNLOAD DOCUMENT 

    When you click this button, your browser's download function prompts you for the location on your local computer where the displayed file is to be downloaded.
EDIT DOCUMENT 

    Click this button to display the Edit Document screen for the displayed file.
DELETE DOCUMENT 

    Click this button to display the Confirm Delete Document screen where you can confirm or cancel the delete request for the selected file.
MOVE/COPY DOCUMENT 

    Click this button to display the Move/Copy Document screen for the selected file.
RENAME DOCUMENT 

    Click this button to display the Rename Document screen for the selected file.
CLOSE  Click this button to close both windows.
